EFI-445 Code Interpretation...

Post by plumsmooth »

For Some Reason I have not been able to find a list of EFI codes anywhere.
Although I remember a while back, before my Engine Light burned out, I had called Volvo Dealership and they said it was an emissions thing.

My code reader says EFI-445 Air Pump.

Seems a lot of people had 410 come up but less 445.

I'm getting they feeling I should maybe not do anything about it right now.
I just got inspected and my Engine Light bulb is fried from being on with this code for the last 3 years...

Anyone happen to have a link to the EFI codes explanation?
Should I try and test anything.
Does EFI-445 Air Pump mean Bad air pump period?

I saw a Youtube post where a guy inserts a mattress pump right on top of the old pump and attaches the hose and crimps the wiring... Looks like a 20 Dollar fix and still provides 1/2 the air and doesn't trigger the Code:

Where does the intake hose originate on the Air Pump?
