I recently had a visitor/friend/colleague who spoke highly of these guys who have kept her 1998 V70 on the road for the past 5-10 years

Good recommendation. Community Auto is a great shop, just expanded their space this summer. I take my 98 V70 there when my main shop in town is booked up. They're always super great, do good work.

I would also recommend Spaanstra Brothers Automotive. Availability for work on Volvos can be tough, there are only 2 guys there who do work on imports. Very solid work, great turnaround. Been going there for 2 years, no issues. They've treated my V70 and my 1990 240 quite well. As chances would have it, Spaanstra is 1 block away from Community Auto.

Betten Imports (Volvo VW dealer) in GRR has also gotten good reviews from my colleague, although pricey.
