sounds like grinding bearings, pulled intake to check bolt behind alternator coupling, not loose and not the problem:(
Harness issue fixed obtained schematic.
The noise is not the loose bolt or the alternator, could be the ac compressor but I don't think so did the stethoscope with screw driver noise seems centered between ac compressor & alternator coupling.
UPDATE:
It is the read (rear engine accessory drive) the car has 118,000. has anyone else experienced this? I have seen the one string of post about this. I have already done a power steering pump last year. also what is the best service manual all and any advice will be appreciated. especially sourcing parts and tools since it's my understanding this job requires about $1,000 worth of special tools
