'04 V70 idles very low

I've got an '04 V70 T5 I picked up on the cheap, and have been working on. Took a chance and bought it as a non-runner. Primary issue was head gasket, which I've replaced. The car is running, and I have no codes flashing.

My question is this: Any guidance regarding a low idle speed? According to the in-dash tach, it's idling at about 600 rpm. I'm not sure if that's accurate, but the sound and feel a lot slower than my '02 XC70 and '99 V70.

What's the most likely cause? It does not surge, just idles very slow.

They idle at 675

I can accept the likelihood that my tach says 600 but the engine is actually running 675.

But this engine is idling noticeably slower than the other Volvos I have.

As long as it's smooth and not trying to shut off, it's OK

That's the idle RPM for this engine.

Mine idles at the unfortunate number 666. I think that's why my car is possessed.

Well, at least you'll know why if you have Fan trouble...
