After I replaced the original battery with a new one , the car starts , runs for a second and conks out.
Before replacing the battery , I pulled it and re-charged it, and the car started up and ran fine, so I don't think there is an alarm or ECU issue.
Help?!!
S60 turns over, then conks out immediately

It could be that the ECU needs to relearn everything. That's what has happened every time I've disconnected the battery on one of my Volvos. I usually try to rev the engine a little bit to keep it from dying.

Wish it were that simple, it won't even try to hold idle. just fires up , acts like its gonna start and conks out immediately. I know with the older Volvos there is a default mode for the ECU, and they do re=learn. This one won't even go to school. I suppose I will have to start trouble shooting for a short or for fuel delivery problem
Thanks anyway

No message in cluster about immobilizer or "start prevented"?
The runs a few beats and then dies is hat happens when the antenna ring doesn't rcognize key or the key is not programmed
