240 brake lines
240 brake lines
Hey does anyone know where I can get brakes lines? I have a leak one the part of the brake line that comes out of the brake line junction (not the junction itself, just the hose). I need a diagram or something to know which one/the part name/number? Anyone have any information for me? It would be greatly appreciated!!

brake lines are carried at some auto parts stores. they come in various lengths but you need to bend them. If you get a brake line bender they will look professional buy you can bend them by hand (try around a broomstick handle) be very careful not to cross thread them and make sure you are getting the same thread on the ends as yours. If you just bend them without broomstick they will kink and you will have to go buy another.
so i found a line, bent it with wrenches (pretty sure its not kinked, no hard angles) so i hope im ok on that front.
but now brakes feel super super spongy, i just need to bleed them right? or could that be a symptom of a kink? or just air because i had to take almost every line off to keep from cross threading the new line?
brake failure light went off so im assuming that might also mean things are ok?
what do you think?

No doubt whatsoever that air will be in the system. Whenever any part of a hydraulic braking system has been overhauled or renewed air gets in. The only way to get rid of it is to bleed the system.
Depending on when it was last changed it may pay to renew the hydraulic fluid whilst you are busy.
Bill.
