850 // Searching part number for this hose?

Post by volvofornia »

Hi,

I found some more leaks in my hoses. The problem I don't know how to search for them. I'm taking about the two hoses that connects the vacuum pump to the intake of the throttle housing. It's a turbo engine.

Thanks!

Go to a parts website run by a dealer.

Can you post a picture, it would really help. I don't know of a vacuum pump on 850's, do you mean the brake booster?

Sorry instead of the vacuum pump I mean the idle control valve. The hoses I search for are connected to the underside of this valve and the other one connects it to the throttle.

Here is a photo of it (thanks to member jreed)

I don't know what your budget is, but FCP sell a nice quality hose set.

Thanks all. I found one from URO parts on Amazon which will arrive Saturday. FDP takes to long for the shipment ;)

Get an entire silicon set off these guys. I ordered one afew months ago for my 98V70R and couldn't believe the quality: http://s.aliexpress.com/UN7nMrie
(from AliExpress Android)

You can then eliminate all potential boost leaks. The other hose that leads to the IAC can be replaced cheaply.
