SAS pump failure then large EVAP leak

Post by shiloh51933 »

Pump started sounding loud then kept trying to kick on all night without success. After a few hours driving like that pump kicked on when i keyed off. I swapped pump and put in a new oe Volvo relay but I haven't changed the big mushroom shaped check valve yet. Anyway after a day of driving I get some hesitation driving at highway speed when I throttle into a lower gear to pass somebody. I look around at my work figuring I might have knocked something off doing air injection pump to no avail. Later CEL illuminates with large EVAP leak, couldn't find anything and only think I could think of was taking fuel cap off to fill tank with motor running.
