Greetings . How many tubes of the Permatex 51813 is needed to cover the cam cover ? I can only find the 1.69 ounce tubes costing $11 a piece.

Just to clear up my question. How many of these little tubes of anaerobic sealer will I need to purchase to get a proper seal. Thanks

Volvo pink anaerobic sealer is 1161059.

You can get bigger tube of anaerobic sealer if you go to Carquest or Napa.

Local Napa doesn't carry it. O Reilly has it, but I didn't know if one tube or more were needed. What brand does Carquest carry?

One 1.69 oz tube is enough to do what you want.

I've done two M56H, and the block and I still have plenty left on my 50ml Volvo sealer.

Got my tube at OReilys. I forget exactly how much it was, but it was pretty spendy.

One tube was WAY more than enough to do my '04 V70.

I usually do 2 covers with one of those tubes.

Greetings. O Reilly only sells .20 .oz tubes $ 5.99. Pep boys 1.69 .oz $10.99. I'll install tomorrow. Take my time, thin coat. Thanks

On mine I bought it from Amazon, one 1.69 oz tube was enough to do the oil pan twice and the cam cover with some left over.
