About two months ago, I started experiencing a flashing up-shift arrow, along with the abs light and trac-control light coming on intermittently along with the check engine light. Also the speedo would quit working also intermittently. Following the advice from this forum, I changed out the ABS control module. While waiting for the part to arrive, I was still able to drive my car but at times the tranny would not shift correctly and I would have to manually shift the automatic transmission through the gears (L, 2, 3, 4, D) in order to accelerate. This may not have been the best for the car, but I had no other transportation. After swapping out the ABS control module, the dashboard lights are all fixed, but the check engine light and shift up arrow are still light/flashing respectively. I am once again experiencing the transmission not shifting properly and had the codes pulled from Firestone. Here is what I have for codes.
PO722 output shaft speed sensor circuit no signal
PO717 input/turbine shaft speed sensor "a" circuit no signal
PO732 Gear 2 incorrect ratio
also P1618
I am bringing the car to a high-end imported car (mostly porsche and BMW, bur also Volvo) mechanic with a very good reputation who I trust. I was wondering if people think that the transmission may be on the way out or if this could still be related to the ABS control module or some sensor. I have not checked the transmission fluid although I probably should have, but still can't find the dipsick.
Please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks,
-Famfeld

The trans dipstick should be yellow, so hard to miss if you're seriously looking. Is this a four or five speed trans?
