Hello everyone.

I am having a problem with the door lock, the key doesn't lock or unlock the door but remote does. The problem is the driver door is the only door that has a key insert. Do you think this is an easy fix? My concern is that if the battery dies and remote doesn't function, is there any way to unlock the doors or pop up the hood?

Thanks.

Your ignition may have been replaced if you bought the vehicle second hand. Then, there would be a key for the door and a key for the ignition.

I think you can still get in through the trunk on an 2002...on my 2005 you are really stuck if the key and fob stop working

When insterted the key, it turns on either side but doesn't unlock the pin, also when you shake the door, i hear something loose.
How would you get in through the trunk? Is there a trick?

the linkage has fallen off inside the door.

remove the door card and put it back. you may need some new plastic bushings/keepers if they've broken.
