v70 2.0d using oil

hi really new to this 1 have a 2010 v70 2.0d and after about 6 months is now using abiut 1.5 litrs of oil between 12000 miles servicesi removed top pipe from the throttle body and it has a mix of oil and soot in there i cleaned most of the sticky mix out engine is a D4204T does anyone have any idea why its using oil or were its going
