'99 V70 Base -- Rear view mirror anchoring

Folks -- The internal rear view mirror is loose and I've got to tighten the mounting bolts. Can anybody give me a thumbnail as to how to get the reading light cluster out without damage so I can access the torn bolts anchoring the mirror stalk? I've redone the headliner in this car already so I've had the assembly out once before, I just can't remember how it comes out. Thanks.

Remove the lense covers as you would to replace the bulbs. You should be able to see the two retaining torx 15 screws that holds the courtesy light assembly to the roof. Undo those and carefully pry the assembly off. There are retaining clips on three sides, the one facing the wind shield have no clips but two plastic mount points you really don't want to break. It should come off fairly easy.

Now you will have access to the base of the rearview mirror and the two torx screws there.
