Aluminum Skid Plate?

What are folks with S30, S40 and V50's doing for a skid plate? Do you live with the plastic one that you have to remove time and time again for oil changes which gets weaker and eventually breaks or gets destroyed by debris or are you replacing them with an aluminum one? If your answer is to replace it, what are you replacing it with- OEM or IPD or is there another option?
