P1 -> P2 seat skin replace, is it possible?

So I am wondering if P1 (1998 - 2000) seat skins will fit a P2-1 (2001 - 2004) V70/XC70?
Just wondering how interchangeable some things are from year to year.

I am looking at a buying a new to me car with shot seats. I know about Elwood <3, but can't swing his awesome right now.

Side Question: Across what models can seats interchange? eg V70 -> S80 ?

My 1999 and 2005 seat skins look completely different, FWIW

And a 98-2000 is NOT a P1, it's a P80
A P1 is an S40-V50

And if a P1 and P80 crash, you get a P1800...as long as no one hears them crash in the woods
