Came across a cluster and I have a Q

So this cluster on the serials have the same exact part numbers that my 01 cluster has. Except this is a blue dials cluster with the LED light strip on top. Even the MY stamp is same So, will this work in my 01 as a plug in play?

This is a 2004 R dash (DIM)
It may work but you won't have it light up at night
These are not backlit, they're front lit from above and your 01 has no wires going up there at all

Sometimes an owner will mod the cluster to add the blue dials. If I remember well, the 2248 and the 620T numbers are the most important to be matched (the digits will vary depending on the car)

This is the cluster, all numbers are same as my 01. Owner says it was pulled from an 03. I can fix the light up from above I just want to know if it will work if anyone knows.

Any idea if it the dials will mark...like fuel and mph with temp? I am not worried about the above LEDs. Like I said all numbers match what I have in my 01. I need to swap my 01 out since it crapped, ID figure if this works I can upgrade.

If all numbers match it should work although I thought only 2002 and 2003 are interchangeable, maybe the 2001 is interchangeable as well. Given the blue dials were only on 2004+ R models, clearly the owner has put the blue dials which is a nice mod.

I would say, don't discard the 2001 cluster and try to have it fixed later on. I had mine done by a tv shop for less than $100. The 2001-2003 all fail so it's good to have a spare one not to mention it will have the original mileage.

That was my thought also that the mod was done, but it has the OEM LEDs from the R. Either way I may take the risk. Yeah I'm not getting rid of mines just yet.
