My son came home for spring brake and the emergency flashier went off at night. There was a problem with the turn signals not working when he was driving home. We checked the rear lights and front lights and replaced one bulb, but the problem happend again. I then took the flasher button with the controll devices out of the dash as the button could have gotten stuck in the hole in the dash. I thought all was ok and it happened again. Could it be a defective emergency flashing switch?

That switch is very finicky, it went bad on my car. I havent needed to completely replace it yet but the simplest is probably IPD or a junk yard for replacement.
