SRS service urgent
I had an airbag light come on last week and it has not gone away. Went to the dealer and they said my driver side airbag in my seat needs replaced. They said the total would be $1500 for the airbag, labor, and a new seat cover since mine is old and would most likely tear when taking off. Is this worth replacing on my own or should I just ignore it? Dealer told me that I should be fine, even for inspections. I'm just curious to anyone's thoughts here.

Ignore it and drive the car like you don't have a side airbag. You could get a seat from a 1999-on with SIPS from a PnP but will need the dealer to reset the SRS code.
