Yes, it can work, but I'd ship it back, if they indicated a part match.

Do not solider, but use heat-shrink-butt connectors.

If these these colors are true on new O2:

Black is signal wire
Grey is ground

You will have to find out which wire has 12 volts on LH side when key is switched on (note; voltage may only be there for two seconds, or if engine is running); hook one white wire to it, and ground the other,.

See this thread...So, he made use of existing (old) O2's plug connector, and butt-connected wires from this plug to new 02 sensor.

Hence, on old 02, you must know the color code for signal, ground, and 12-volt...I don't have a 1992-960 wiring schematic.
