Faulty hatch lock on 98 V70

Hello, weird problem just recently started on my wagon...

Hatch lock works fine (locks and unlocks) with key, the unlock button on the driver's side door panel works, but when I unlock all the doors by turning the key in the driver door the second time, it will unlock the back, but not relock it.

I assume this is the same issue as many of the door mechanisms have, i.e. the control arm that runs the relocking slider has somehow broken?

Is there a way to disengage the electric lock of the tailgate from the driver door 2nd key turn, but keep the driver door panel button operable?

If not, I will likely just disengage the electric lock in the rear altogether until I can find a new electric switch assembly. Which is not that important to me.
