Fender stay passenger side picture or diagram needed

Post by skaupert »

An exhaustive search for a picture or a drawing/diagram for the passenger side fender stay has yielded nothing. I'm talking about the bracket that wraps around and holds the washer fluid reservoir. All Volvo parts diagram seem to be done from a front left view, and while there are both drawings and photos of the stay on the left/driver side, none seem to exist for the other one. And they are completely different.

I was in a fender bender (literally) that tore off my right hand fender and left the bracket pretty deformed. To fix it, I bent it back, but without the benefit of any reference of what it might have looked like before the accident.

So I’m hoping that someone on this forum might have either a picture or some other reference for the stay/bracket/support so I know what I'm aiming for.

I don't even know if the tabs are supposed to point up or down...

current state (about an inch too low, half an inch too far inside, and a quarter inch back).

history:
initial attempt to straighten out the tabs. Too low and too far inside.

second attempt, best guess without any reference

Any help and hints much appreciated.
