Alarm goes off with my own key or fob

Lately I have an intermittent alarm going off when I use my key or fob to open the trunk. Is there a procedure to reset the alarm or is there another problem?

If I understand correctly, you can open the trunk with a key? (I think on the 02S60 that is only an emergency feature)

I would check/scan the car for alarm-related messages; when the siren's internal battery has failed, it is known to cause false positive alarm triggering and various side effects (comm issues that inhibit other UEM functions).
If it happens to be the battery, there's usually a DIM message, something like 'ALARM SERVICE REQUIRED'
Do you see a DIM message like that or a different one?

You can test the siren by triggering the alarm:

Roll the driver's window all the way down, exit the car, close all doors, trunk and hood, and then lock the car with the fob or with the key.
Wait for the alarm to arm (at least 45 seconds)

Unlock the door by reaching from the outside (either raise the lock/unlock pin or pull the interior door handle). The siren should go off with a loud high-pitched sound. If the sound is faint or none at all then the siren's battery is done. They don't usually last beyond 7-8 years (depending on climate)
