Oil leak, drivers side. Oils has wicked way back along brake lines.

Post by Skkele »

I just bought home a 2005 V70 2.4t and it has a quite a bit of oil underneath on the driver's side. It's even wicked way back along the brake lines.

I've read it could be the cam seal, RMS (rear main seal?), turbo return line, or something else I can't remember.

Is this a straightforward fix? I have a 4 day cancellation on the purchase if it's something major.

it could be any or all of those things.

if it's a cam seal then it's a significant job. turbo drain not so much. you won't know until you diagnose the leak.
