2004 v70 T5 tensioner pulley

Post by jonesg »

hi guys,
bought a V70 car last week, the serpentine belt shredded today.
The tensioner pulley is missing, just a spindle sticking out is all thats left.!

Is this difficult to change out?
I don't have a service book for this car, I previously owned a 1990 740 and did all the work on that.
Do I need any special tools , any gotchas to watch out for?
Thanks for any help, I didn't find any tutorials on this.

The tensioner is spring loaded - a large torx tip, something like #50 or #60, is used to unload the tension and put the new belt on. While the belt is off make sure all accessories spin nice and smoothly.
