Disable power seats temporarily?

Post by berk850 »

Hi. I would like to disable the power seats in my 96' 850 temporarily. I looket at the fusebox but I cannot see any fuses for the power seats.I read that circuit breakers 38 and 39 underneath the cover for fuse box are for the power seats. Now the question: Will I set off any fault codes if I remove these? Anything else I need to think about?

On a '96 you can remove the breakers and nothing else will be bothered. The SIPS bag is not electrically actuated on a '96. If you are removing the seats and you are going to be taking out the seatbelts then you need to disconnect the battery or it will trigger a SRS fault.
