2001 T6 ETM replaced but no luck

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2001 T6 ETM replaced but no luck

Post by LeviO »

Replaced etm with xemodex but still has the same problem. Also replaced MAF. Will start, but surges and then stalls when put in drive. Same problem before xemodex replacement. Wondering if anybody had same issues and if so what could fix it. Thanks.

When you sent XeModex a unit to rebuild, was it your own and suited the car?

They may just clone what you send them without a VIN check to see that the firmware is right for your particular vehicle.

With ignition on and no cranking does the ETM start up then turn off in under 8 seconds?

You really need a code reader and preferably a Dice to read your particular car; most other code readers can't see all the codes. A $450 XeModex diagnosis could have bought a fine scanner and some loose change.
