I got an e-mail from IPD today with a link to this diagnostic tool:

Has anyone bought this or used it and know its' capabilities, even for the 96-98 (I don't currently have one but who knows..!).

I know it can't reset service lights, but as I have a tool that does that for the 96-98 cars and the SRS light that is ok.

I have a Vida/Dice unit and dedicated laptop, but naturally if this can cover most of that then it is a lot easier to handle and carry around.

I've used that model for our various 97/98/2000 P80. It was a capable and convenient unit until I lent out. My experience indicates it will only diagnose engine codes. Perhaps firmware has changed since I used mine.

I love IPD, but keep in mind the sale price offered is the standard price from the Foxwell online distributor, and the latter offers free shipping.

That is good to know. I e-mailed IPD to ask what it can do, but have had no reply. That is probably my fault as I give them such a hard time about all the issues I've had with their products recently!
