Starter replacement - step by step detailed help needed please

My brother pulled the starter, now I have to replace it.
I need to know how many wires on the 1998 V70.
I have (red) from battery, (red) to alternator and the clip with the ground. No one can tell me if thats it.
I was told to attach the ground clip FIRST. Then attach the two red cables to the post. Does it matter which one goes on the post first? Alternator then battery or battery then alternator.

Sorry. I've never done this before and I need clear, step by step detailed help. I cant find anything online that I can understand and my local shop is sold out of manuals for this car. Go figure.
Please help.

One thing to check that you asked is which red battery or alternator cable to fit first. I seem to recall the cables ends dictate which fits first and second as they have to overlap in a recess in the starter where the nut fits over them. I recall this as I was pissed with Volvo when they did not give the 'kink' to one of the cables that I paid a ridiculous amount for and I had to make the bend prior to installation.

Based on the picture above from my complaint to Volvo, it would appear the alternator to battery wire fitted first and then the starter to alternator on top of it. Check the cables you car has for this feature at the cable ends at the starter.
