So my 2002 XC70 suddenly started making some horrible noise in the rear end. Cursory examination is that the driver's side rear axle is shot, and the passenger side axle isn't far behind.
What do I have to remove to replace these axles?
It appears as though I can remove the wheel bearing hub assembly and pull the axle shafts through that hole. Is that correct?
