Hello

I need new sway bar endlinks on my 1999 and on considering the IPD HD ones. Anyone have them on there car in here.

I have a thing for IPD products of the present day, so personally I wouldn't bother. Some folks love IPD stuff, but not me. If you are driving like a crazy person I'd consider the Meyle HD or lemforder. I personally will be going back to OE if you drive like the average driver.

I have a set of the IPD HD's in the garage, they have done possibly 3000km and one ball joint on each has already gone floppy/loose. Removed them when trying to find cause of noises from the front end and will keep for emergencies. I've read of similar concerns from others that there is no real 'HD' in these IPD parts.

Read about early failure. Lemforder or OEM.
Better get some OEM used off Ebay, ask the seller to check the boot is not ripped and the ball joint is stiff to move.

I posted previously about a catastrophic failure of an IPD HD sway bar endlink. IPD was not interested in receiving the part for failure analysis. One ball joint had come completely free of its socket. I'd stick with OEM.

I hear what others are saying about IPD endlinks...I DO have these on my S70 and they've been on for maybe 5-6 years? Maybe I had the earlier version and got lucky. I also just replaced these on my wife's '04 V70 with IPD's. We will see how these newer versioned ones hold up. I may have gotten lucky with the earlier set...it could be that IPD has improved them again- anyway, I was assured that they would stand up by IPD themself (imagine that!)...In conclusion, go with what others are saying here- you will save $ over IPD's with Lemford or OEM. I've heard good things about Lemford but have never used any of their products.

I had a set of IPD end links on an older 850 a few years ago and they were fine. I just feel they have lost their way in the quality department. New owner....?

If there isn't a huge difference in price for the OEM, I'd be tempted to go genuine volvo.
