1999 S70 P0328 Knock Sensor
1999 S70 P0328 Knock Sensor
My S70, non-turbo, automatic has been having some stalling/dying issues lately. When driving it will loose power and sometimes die, put it up in neutral and start it and rev it a few times, and it gets going again. I haven't had the check engine light come on at all during this. But, I hooked my code scanner up and there are no stored codes. But, when the engine is running it reads this code: P0328 KNOCK SENSOR 1 CKT HIGH LIMIT BANK 1 OR SINGLE SENSOR. But, only when the car is running. Could the knock sensor having issues cause it to stall and die? Thanks.

Don't think so, the knock sensor only helps adjusting the timing so as the engine doesn't ping. Is the engine pinging while driving near a wall with open window?
Rather, the front O2 sensor could be busted, I'd start looking at that.
