Help please 2007 Volvo wagon I hit a deer and
I'm new here I think I speed on the site quite a few years ago but anyhow I have a 2007 Cross country Volvo wagon that was actually in beautiful shape mechanically and inside and outside little over a week ago or so I hit a deer and here is the damage that I seen no I'm not a mechanic go figure I'm just a woman but this is a physical damage so I was able to see the grill in front of the car was falling off , some mile scratching to the hood and some very minor minor scratching to the black bumper around the front and the sides below the grill , I thought I seen some fluid leaking from the car at one point mind you I didn't want to drive it not knowing what was wrong and I noticed from the outside the left side of the sunroof on passenger side with lift it up higher than the other side when I went in the car and tried to open up the sunroof I just made some clicks and wouldn't even open the other thing I noticed was the trip meter we were tells how many miles per gallon you're getting Right before I hit the deer I noticed it said I was getting 25 point something miles per gallon usually always said between that to 27 after I hit the deer and pulled over to the side of the road to calm down and restarted the car and proceeded to go home I noticed that that same thing with lighting up saying I was getting 200 miles to the gallon , well obviously that was not correct Yeah like I said I was almost near my house and then it said I was getting 0 miles to the gallon obviously something was messed up how good hitting the deer do that I called the Volvo and I will tell everyone what they said and what the insurance company sandwiches two different things if I hopefully get some good input here I really need some help please not then when I got home was towards my house

Please reformat your post per forum rules so we can address your issues. It is sufficient to post that you had a front impact with a llarge animal, without detail, and then list the issues you have with your car.

First, sorry for your misfortune, As for us to get a better idea, it would be useful to snap a couple of pictures especially from under the hood where there seems to be damage/fluid leaking. The pictures can be uploaded here by using the Attachments button in the full editor text mode.
As for the sunroof, I suspect a part of the body hit the glass so the sunroof might become misaligned. I don't think it's a DIY thing, but also going to the Volvo dealer might cost you an entire new sunroof installed which might be dear (!) to the pocket. Better search on local.google.com for some european cars specialist in your are - there are often times reviews on Google which are helpful to find an honest place. They might be able to just align the sunroof rails if that is possible.

I feel you, it's hard with these cars and deers. I have a 2001 V70 XC, and I love it a lot, (that's why I bought another one) I hit a deer back in 2006 in Pennsylvania. I would try to see where the leak is coming from first, because that is the most important. A leak can be something simple, or cause engine seizure, so look where the reservoirs are for each fluid and try to match it up with where the leak is. I would like to see pictures so I can see how your car was compared to mine. You might want to disconnect the battery to see if you can do a good reset of the trip computer. Sometimes mine says 999miles to empty tank and average speed 999mph. You may not need a whole new sunroof, but just the tracks if they are bent. Do you have any lights in the dashboard. Help us narrow things down and let us know.
