Control Arm Bushings

Post by shaker_chi »

I was at a local junkyard last week and pulled some aluminum control arms from an early 1994 850. I am planning on installing them on my 98 S70 T5. The donor car had 230,000 miles on it and I'm positive the bushings are original. I'm 99.9% sure these will fit my S70, but I was wondering if anyone has installed any of the polyurethane bushings I see online or should I just stick with O/E parts. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, I prefer the aluminum to the steel because I can change out the balljoint if needed.

These are interchangeable with your control arms. Rumors were they were dropped as they were weaker but this is garbage. The racer fraternity like them as they are strong.

I just sold a set to a friend locally and he replaced the bushes and ball-joints with parts from FCP.

As to the poly-bushes I don't know. They uses the same inner bushes as the metal control arms.

Yep!! I'm the guy that bought them off Neil.
They fit in my 98 S70 T5 like they were made for it.
Like you, I don't want to buy a Whole control arm in the future for just a ball joint, When I can just change a ball joint on these.
