Drive shaft cv joint kit install/Haldex fluid, filter & pump

Post by Archer »

I have a 2006 V70R with 85,000 miles and I believe I've done enough research to change the Haldex oil, filter and pump...did the transmission, bevel and differential fluids a few weeks ago with no issues. Anyhow, I purchased a new Haldex pump for good measure, read that they often fail after 10'years or so, might as well do it. My question is...should I preemptively change the front drive shaft cv joint while I'm down there? There are no issues, but again, I've read that it ultimately is a wear item that will have to be addressed at some point? Or Should I just not mess with it? I was thinking about buying the kit from Rockauto, don't want to pay $280 for the Volvo kit. That's the gist, anything else to consider/repair/replace while I'm working in this area? Thanks.
