02 V70 T5
Problems: While windows down, a noticeable raised volume of air escaping from under the vehicle, ONLY during acceleration along with a slight drop in power. While windows up & A/C on, a loud "air rush" noise comming through the vents, ONLY during acceleration. Noise will happen with OR without the Fan or A/C On. Please note, A Slight Power loss during acceleration IS PRESENT. During harder acceleration the fan speed will blow harder...once acceleration is over and constant speed is maintained, the air speed returns to the correct fan speed setting.
All connections to the turbo seem to be in tact. I have'nt pulled the heat shield yet to inspect further...
Thanks in advance for any help

It's tough to diagnose noises over the inter webs but two things come to mind
If your alternator or regulator is acting up your voltage could be fluctuating and explaining the fan speed variation.
If you don't drop the engine cover and heat shield you can't check your induction air hose path.
when I was diagnosing mine I pulled off the air cleaner to turbo pipe just removing the MAF
A popped off hose is quite noisy in the car, mine was a high whistle

Thank You Sir! I will pull off heat shield to inspect further. Another little diagnosing detail is that when the car is in Park... And engine is revved high, there is no air escaping noise... Thus only while driving.
Wish me Luck! Diving in, Full Monte Today.

This was the problem. Of Course You were all over it as usual Abscate. Had to remove the heat shield & turbo pipe to see this blow out. Good thing I had a spare from the turbo swap couple months back...made this job super easy, and fast!!
Thanks again Buddy!!

Nice. If you fire enough buckshot, eventually you hit a bird.
Atonement for screwing up the P2 timing belt interval in the other thread.
In park, the ECU detects no load on the engine so it never turns on the boost
