97 850 NA PCV rebuild question

I hopefully will have all the parts to re-assemble the PCV on the project 850 tomorrow. I have mentioned in another thread that a repair shop ripped the PO of by not replacing all the pipe, catch tank or any of the pipe clips.

It has been a long time since I did my 93 NA and I can't recall if the pipe on the LH end (nearest the crank pulley) of the intake (the small pipe from the flame trap area) should have a clamp on it or not. Naturally mine does not have one, but doesn't mean there shouldn't be one. I was sure there was as it is a PITA to get access to and fit.

Depends on what kind of hose you use. The factory pipe just has a rubber elbow, no clamp.

I still consider myself a forever apprentice compared to guys like erik, tryingbee, Lee and a few others on here. It is a continued learning curve!

I am convinced though that on out 93 850 GLT it had one of the those 3 pronged clamps on that pipe and it was a real devil to get to after re-installing the intake first. Easiest to do so before re-fitting the intake!

Interesting the pictures with the silicon hose show a cable tie holding it on!!
