Thanks to Matt for acknowledging the tutorial. i tried to squeeze in everything I thought was important. There were a few details left out, but hopefully as these cars slip into vintage classification, some enthusiasts will find that it's not that hard to rejuvenate this 5 cylinder engine, nor very expensive if there's no serious metal deterioration. I didn't log every little expense, but overall, it cost me less than $400.00, I think it was closer to $350.00.

This, together with precopster's automatic trans tutorial and Tracy's cylinder head rebuild, and all the others detailing repairs to the parts that wear out frequently, we have what we need to get 'em to a half million miles. Hats off to Matt for keeping the world class forum going that makes it all possible!
