Purge valve location -- 98 S70 T5

For the life of me, I can't see where this is located. I know it can be either round or square but is it at the top of the engine compartment (and easily accessible) -- bottom of engine (you can see from under the car) -- or somewhere midway?

Do other parts need to be moved etc to get to it?

Getting a P0447 code for past month, which apparently doesn't affect performance -- if I reset the code takes just a couple seconds for it to come back on.

Is this code (usually) the valve? I do see the canister (easy) and have tried to follow the lines but still can't locate this purge valve. -- thanks so much.

The purge valve is on the radiator shroud, left side of the radiator.

Upper part right?

Think I know what you're talking about -- you mean right below the upper radiator hose on the passenger side? About 1" in diameter encased in a silver steel assembly? Thought that may have been it initially but looks much smaller then the part I saw on FCP.

If that's it -- how do you get it out ? (after you take off the hose obviously).

I though it had has electrical sensor connectors also but can't see them -- maybe not looking hard enough. THANKS

In my 98, it's on the upper, drivers side of the radiator shroud, underneath the fresh air intake duct. Mine is also square.
