Hi all,
I am preparing myself for a RICA stage 2 map. What I want to know is if I can measure some of real world improvements in a reproducable way. I don't have access to a Dyno, but I have Torque Pro running on a 10 inch Android tablet, connected with the ODBLink LX Bluetooth dongle. In addition, I have Vida Dice running on a Laptop, but I don't want to lug around that Laptop while driving all the time.
Therefore, I will try to calibrate Torque Pro by using Vida Dice and alternating the same route a couple of times until the observed maximum Torque provided by Torque Pro is within 5% of the observed 5% of the Torque as provided by Vida Dice. After having done so, I then will use Torque Pro to compare the OEM map with the RICA stage 2 map as soon as it arrives. I ordered the iSL on Saturday, so this may take a week or two.
The image shows the first run with Torque Pro. As seen, Torque Pro can estimate HP at wheel and Torque as well, based on measured speed and entered weight. It all seems a bit low for my AWD D5 185hp Euro 4, even though it is the heavy 7 seater...
Now, before I start doing some more test runs, what would everyone's recommendation be for Torque Pro that I can use to best compare the OEM versus Rica map?
Thanks!
