2006 C70 reverse gear

Hello,

I've recently bought a 2006 C70 with a 5 speed manual gearbox. It has a rather annoying issue whereby when you engage reverse and lift the clutch it either tries to creep forward as if it thinks it is in 4th, or makes a whizzing/ grinding noise as if the gear is not properly selected. If you stir the box a couple of time it gets there eventually.

The cables are in the right place on the top of the box and are not being obstructed by the battery cables.

You might try draining and refilling the gear oil. It's not outrageous and you can do it yourself fairly easily. I would definitely buy the correct fluid. Check on http://www.fcpeuro.com I believe they also have a video on how to do this. How many miles on her?
