location of evac cannister on 04 xc70

I have a P0045 engine code and tried to find the leak with a smoke machine. I got smoke out of the filter near the filler tube but none other that I could see. I have been told that the likely culprit is the J-tube on the canister. Problem--Where is it? Any help?

I think it's the same as my 2005. It's on top of a cover on the left rear wheel, and Alldata says to drop the exhaust to access
