smoking dip stick new pcv system
smoking dip stick new pcv system
ok just replaced pcv system now I have smoke coming out of the dip stick like a train non stop any ideas on what the problem could be

First thing to check when that happens is for leaks or mis-connected hoses.
- is the intake manifold seated properly?
- are the two hoses on top of the oil trap switched, or hooked up the right way?
- are all the hoses hooked up?
Also, did you clean out (or at least check) the ports from the oil trap into the block?

I'd also consider a pinched hose. This sounds a lot like vacuum isn't reaching the crankcase.
