I have a 2008 XC70. I can find the high pressure port near the front of the vehicle on the passenger side. It's easily found with a cap that can be screwed off.
I cannot find the low pressure port. Several people have commented that it's either under the cowling between the engine and the firewall or under the reservoir tank for power steering fluid. I don't find it in either of those places.
In fact when I traced the large diameter hose from the compressor to the firewall, I don't find a port at all.
Does the XC70 require shop maintenance for a high pressure port refill? Does the low pressure port exist?

Did you remove the wiper arms and then remove the cowl top panel? It is on the suction line in the "cold zone" as Volvo calls that between the bulkheads area.
