2000 s70 overheated, won't start

Hey all. I have a 2000 s70, that I've owned for 4 years. My wife overheated it yesterday, due to the coolant cap not being replaced a few days ago (thermostat didn't show abnormal for some reason).
No evidence (yet) of head gasket problems. I changed the spark plugs this morning, and they were wet with fuel, so I suspect something electrical blew. Here's the weird part... the intake hose, between the filter and the throttle body, is vibrating. I disconnected the battery, and it stopped. Alternately, I disconnected the electrical connector that attaches directly to the pipe, and it stopped as well. Stuck relay? Guessing the computer isn't getting fuel/air ratio information. Ideas??

Are you referring to the MAF sensor when you say you pulled an electrical connector? Seems odd that it would be vibrating. A failing/failed MAF sensor could definitely mess with the air/fuel mixture and its signal to the ECU.
I don't think this is an issue with a relay. Do you have any codes?

As for the head gasket, best way to tell if that's still good would be to run a compression test.

Sorry for the delay. I haven't had access to the car until today.

No, not the MAF sensor. I forget what my buddy called it, but it's halfway between the MAF and throttle body. Some sort of solenoid. Regardless, it's stopped vibrating. Got the vehicle started, but the head gasket is busted. Doing a teardown, then decide if it's worth fixing.

The gasket kits on Amazon have horrible reviews. Any reliable (Cheap) source for such things? The waterpump/timing belt kits have decent reviews there.

Idler controller spins when you have the key at on, it will feel like vibration. Don't worry about it.

That's an ETS car, no idle air valve. My guess is the throttle body was vibrating

FCP Euro is much better than Amazon for Volvo parts IMHO. Check them out for a head gasket set. As far as brands I highly recommend Conti-Tech/INA for the t-belt and parts. Most here will tell you Aisin WP only, but I think you'll be alright with almost any brand FCP carries.

I looked up the part. 1275634 Idle Control Valve. It vibrated even with the key out of the vehicle.

Thanks for the FCP recommendation. I'll check it out this afternoon.

Apparently that"s odd?
The number on the timing cover is 1942307. Middle of the run, it would appear.
