2004 S40 LSE Broken Ignition Cylinder

Hello all,

Fell victim to the "key won't turn" issue over the summer.

Since then i've been starting the car with a small bladed screwdriver but obviously want to get a proper fix.

Searching the forum I see that people are ordering this replacement part from Volvo, already cut to fit the existing key.

My question is, is the replacement something that any mechanic can do, or must it be done thru the dealer (I like doing my own DIY work but this job makes me uncomfortable)

Any assistance appreciated!
