Volvo S60 2.5T 150K miles, front struts & mounts.

Post by dunamis »

Hey all,
I need to replace my front strut mounts and since the car has 150k miles I thought it would be a good idea to replace the struts as well.
I live in southern California (Orange County) and wanted to ask if anybody knows of a good reputable seller that sells the complete strut assembly; strut, mount, spring and all. I don't want to make it as easy as possible for this repair.
Thanks!

It's not a bout the seller - fcp euro, eeuroparts, ipdusa, but about the part's brand. These are well known parts on Volvo's that only a few specific brands seem to last. For the spring seat there is Sachs, strut mount maybe INA, Sachs, for struts Sachs Super touring only with the blue sticker. Note that new struts may rise the front of the car quite a bit, for some reason it seems quite a few have different measures than the original suspension.

Dunamis,

I replaced my struts with the whole assembly that I got from amazon last year. Gabriel brand.
They work just fine, paid about $100 for each. I think it is a very reasonable price. They lifted the front little bit but I think they settled down so looking good now.
