Hey there folks. I've recently replaced my full strut and spring assemblies with quick swap units from FCP-Euro. They went in just fine but there is a groaning noise coming from the driver side when turning the wheel from the 10 o'clock position through to 12 o'clock. There is no noise when turning the wheel counterclockwise at any position. I took the car into the shop and they showed me a place where the spring was rubbing on the strut tower so I pulled the assembly and got the spring properly aligned and seated right up against the stop at the bottom (it had been about a centimeter from the stop). As far as I can tell the spring is in the correct position now but I still have the groaning. I got my phone camera in there to see what was going on and took the linked video of the travel as the wheel was turned. You can see the sticking and hear the groan. Anyone have any ideas?

Give FCP a call.
They are usually very good with customer support.
