According to my VIN it did not come with Visco clutch CV axle on the passenger side. I have also seen them refereed to as LSD axles. My question is are these an upgrade? For example if you upgrade your rear differential to limited slip to get better traction? Why is this an option for my VIN if it did not come with it?
iPd gives the option for Visco or non Visco axles for my VIN, has anyone change them out with good or bad results? They say that the only way to tell is to physically inspect the CV shaft and I have. There's no indication of either/or on the shaft.
Here are the two shafts:
Non-Visco
Visco
To Visco CV shaft or not to Visco CV shaft, that is the question Topic is solved

So I think I answered my own question, I definitely do no have Visco clutch. I was confused as to where the Visco was located on the axle. Turns out it is separate from the axle and not included when buying a new axle.

Visco is determined on the shaft. if you have 2 sets of splines on the 'input' side, also tranny side, then you have a visco axle. only one set of splines then non visco.
