Looking to turn my 15g into an 18T in the next couple weeks. My question for the experienced members (boxpin)... is a stage 1 IPD tune sufficient enough to run an 18T? My exhaust is opened up but still the straight flanged DP. Car is a 96 with strong stage0. Would stock injectors be alright, I would run the vehicle with 16-17lbs max with an mbc alongside the tcv(bcs) to prevent spikes. Anything else I'm missing here :?:

With the 18T I think you can run stock internals (that's where the weakness lies) but the main issue is a good tune. As I understand it, boost spikes at low RPM's are what bend rods.

Install a AFR gauge, blue injectors, tune, silicone piping, and a decent boost gauge.

You may also want to install a NA intake manifold and throttle body with the 960 throttle body plate.

Thanks for the replies, I found a seller from sweden with an ecu that'll support my setup. Better not chance it with the stage1 ipd.
