Locked my self out of the 2005 tailgate

I really like having a key on the tailgate, or an internal handle
Cant you get the child latch mechanism for the xc70's that have the rear facing seats?

Also -Pete- I know I should probably know this by now, but what is the button to the right of the fog light button?

I've seen a very early 2001 XC70, it had the key lock on the tailgate. Volvo should have kept it for all years especially given the battery location. Maybe Swedish people are good at climbing and cave diving, but the car was sold internationally. If the S60 could have it, the V70 could also

Also today I changed out my engine air filter. The old one had a 2008 mfg date on it, I don't know when it went into service.
Hopefully it returns the power and economy that the car originally had.
I did not check it when I bought it 1.5 years ago, and I clearly should have.

So I guess that this is a friendly reminder to check the engine air filter if you don't normally.

Changed the control arms & ball joints not too long ago. Was quite a job, removed the whole knuckle on both sides, which was the correct route to take.

Specially bought an impact hammer for removing the ball joints, used a piece of pipe to hammer them back in (instead of buying the special tool for it). Only need to have it aligned and we're good to go :)

Replaceable ball joints on the P2s are an absolute dream!

In the past few weeks - changed the fuel filter, flushed the coolant system, and flushed the brake fluid. Also got 4 new tires - Hankook Kinergy PT 205/55r16

Hopefully those are good brands. We can see the fight on the metal where the ball joint sits.
